Tea time snake…..


There was a time when people were rather less busy. Life was smooth as anything and one could enjoy the beauty of life at its best. Not like these days when you are running around the clock with limited time for breakfasts, lunches or dinner.
In short, no meal time is enjoyable any more. It’s just like a duty you perform to fill in the requirement of stomach. There is no one to blame for this as life is getting tougher with each passing day. Competition does not allow you to rest, but still one must find some time for him/her because such moments keep you going in this race. To enjoy such blissful moments, let me share a blissful tea time recipe with you.




Today’s recipe which I am about to share is a simple chiffon marble cake that can be enjoyed with a cup of coffee or tea. Plus taking out time for yourself and enjoying this delight won’t be a bad idea. Let’s see what we need for this recipe ….



In a bowl whisk 1/3 cup coco powder, ¼ cup boiling water, 3 table spoons of sugar and 2 table spoons of oil until blended. While in another bowl combine all the dry ingredients i.e. 2- ¼ cups flour, 1 table spoon baking powder, 1 tea spoon salt and 1- ½ cups of sugar. In a separate bowl beat 7 egg yolks, ¾ cup water and ½ cup oil nicely and then add dry ingredients, beat until well blended. You need to beat 7 egg whites in a separate bowl with clean beaters, add ½ tea spoon cream of tartar until stiff peaks form. Now fold this mixture into the egg yolk batter you already prepared.




Remove 2 cups of batter and add coco mixture you prepared earlier. While for the remaining mixture, add 2 tea spoon grated orange peel in it. Pour both the mixtures into already greased pan, swirl with a knife and bake for about 70-75 minutes at 170 degrees.
