Sorry for not being around for quite some time. As you all know world cup season is at full bloom which kept me a little busy as I was following the matches. But this does not mean that I did not bake during these days.

How can I be disloyal to baking?

I did bake something sweet for my friends and something saltish for myself. When we think about baking, the idea of desserts pops up into our minds. But baking is definitely not only about sweet stuff but there are many other recipes of non-sweeten ingredients. One such item is chicken pie which is simple to make and taste amazingly delicious.




You got it right today’s recipe which I am about to share with you guys is chicken pie recipe. Usually I used to bake apple pie for a very dear friend on her request but never tried baking chicken pie.

Last year when I was preparing for a tea party I planned to try this recipe. It turned out so good that since then on every special occasion, I receive special requests for this magical pie. Here is how this amazing chicken pie recipe goes by:

I boil one large breast piece of chicken and cut it into small pieces. Along with that I boil 1 cup sweet pies, 2 medium potatos and 2 large carrots in a separate bowl. In a separate mixing bowl I mix 5 table spoon butter at room temperature along with one egg yolk. After mixing it properly I add 5 table spoons of all-purpose flour and prepare the dough for the pie.


You need to keep this dough into refrigerator for about 30 minutes before you can place it over the chicken filling. For the chicken filling put 3 table spoon butter in a sauce pan. When it completely melts, add 3 table spoon flour into it, cook for couple of minutes and add 2 table spoon HP sauce in it. Add salt according to your taste and then put 2 cups of milk in it and satire until it thickens a bit.



Now finally add all the boiled stuff into the paste and cook for couple of minute on medium heat. Pre-heat your oven at 180 degree and place this filling into a pie dish.



Cover it with already prepared dough. Brush the covered dough with egg white.



Bake this chicken pie for 20 minutes or until the crust becomes golden.








Your yummiest chicken pie is ready for 8 peoples serving.
